Respect For The Men and Women of the United States Armed Forces
The other day when I logged onto Facebook, I noticed a new group invitation. The name of the group is: Petition To Remove Group "Soldiers Are Not Heroes". I joined a group a few months ago entitled Soldiers are Heroes, and then a few weeks ago the creators of that group changed the name to "Soldiers are not heroes". That is unpatriotic in every sense of the word. Within just a few days the "Soldiers Are not Heroes" group dropped from over 1,000,000 to just 12,000 and the Petition To Remove Group "Soldiers Are Not Heroes" group went up from 0 to over 1,200,000 strong and are still growing. Everyday there are more and more people who post messages that make me, a future military man, proud to be an American and one day serve my country. There are people from the other group that write things saying that they are just using their freedom of speech by calling these soldiers "Baby Killers" or "Killing Machines".
What the people in that other group don't realize is that without the soldiers fighting for them, there would be no freedom of speech. There would be no right to practice which ever religion you choose. A famous quote that I never get tired of hearing is "If you cant stand behind our troops, try standing in front of them" So, I have created this blog to honor the soldiers who every day whole-heartedly support the freedom of our great nation. They truly put their lives on the lines each day. Although the media focuses primarily on the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, I ask you to remember the soldiers stationed around the world defending our freedoms.
GOD BLESS THE SOLDIERS AND THEIR FAMILIES. LORD, I ASK YOU TO KEEP THEM FROM HARMS WAY!
